Catamaran Chair

While studying abroad in Copenhagen, I took part in a furniture design studio where we were tasked with making a chair from start to finish. I wanted to make a chair you could not only relax and read a book in, but also work at a desk if you wanted. The seat and seatback are made from laminated plywood set at an angle to provide a gentle curve and ergonomic resting position for users.

Final Assembly and glue up, I had to make a jig to keep the angle of the legs to install the bracing which sat on a compounded angle.
